Ministries
At Meadowvale, we recognize that family processes and interactions are among the most rewarding and also the most challenging of human experiences. Our ministries aim to support individuals and encourage strong and healthy family relationships. Specifically, we offer:
-
Children’s Ministries - To provide and develop all children on a spiritual path, regardless of their current lifestyle or cultural background, an opportunity to know and love Jesus Christ through stories, song and activities.
-
Family Ministries - To evangelism and provide resource such as training, and networking opportunities for those working to strengthen or rebuild families within their local community and the province of Ontario and territory of the Ontario Conference. Healthy Families creates a happy church working towards eternity.
-
Men’s Ministries - To stir up the energy and resources of men to connect with each other and for God, through the family, church, and community.
-
Singles Ministries - Reaching and uplifting single adults within the church environment to create Christ-centered safe dwellings for fellowship, nurture, and service.
-
Women’s Ministries - Women's Ministries is a place to address the spiritual, emotional, physical healing and social needs of women in the church.. It is a reliable support system for hurting women—whether they are suffering from spiritual conflicts, divorce, abuse or loneliness. It is an open forum to help address topics and issues as they affect the woman.
-
Pathfinders - Pathfindering is to lead each teen into a growing, and redemptive relationship with Christ in a safe environment and to develop Pathfinders into responsible, mature individuals who engage in active selfless service.
-
Seniors - Our seniors are an important segment of our church. They are the pillars of the church, the ones who sacrificed to build it. Seniors programs provide a time for them to enjoy some of the benefits of being seniors, not only with meaningful worship but also fellowship with other seniors. “Fellowship in the gospel” (Phil.1:5) transcends all other relations, for it provides an intimate relationship with God.
-
Health - Our vision: A thriving church where individuals experience holistic health (physical, mental, and spiritual) and compassionate, Christ-centred care.
-
The mission of the health ministry is to reach every member of the church and the surrounding communities through dedicated, trained health committee members, working in collaboration with ministers of the gospel and church members to promote holistic well-being
-
Description - A healthy lifestyle requires all eight principles of health: Rest, Eat wholesome food, Sunshine, Trust in Divine Power, Oxygen, Restraint/Self-control, Exercise, and Drink Water. Our health ministry focuses on creating a safe space for members of our church and surrounding communities to engage with health team members in teaching and learning about the principles of the Seventh-day Adventist Health message. Our committee strives to deliver relevant, evidence-informed health promotion and disease prevention programs that use the RESTORED framework.
-
Our programs are intended to improve the quality of life for all members of the church and surrounding communities and to demonstrate Christ’s saving love and grace through Bible-based health principles, methods, and techniques.
-
The RESTORED framework - https://ocwebapps.blob.core.windows.net/resources/departments/health/documents/2026%20RESTORED%20Booklet.pdf is your guide to maintaining holistic health.

A healthful lifestyle is more than just a matter of eating right; there are seven other ingredients to attaining good health, which you will find in this booklet. Applying them is simple yet offers profound benefits for the maintenance, preservation, and restoration of your holistic health.

These Ministry teams also work closely with:
-
The Community Services to meet the practical needs of families for basic items such as food.
-
The Prayer Ministries Department also wrap our families in prayer and are available to pray with and for you.
We look forward to partnering with you and your family whether your goals is to strengthen your marriage, nurture your family, parent in a more loving way, raise children who are well adjusted in life and passionate about Jesus, or to nurture your own spiritual life. We encourage all families with these words: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27.
